ASEAN Heritage Parks

The ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHPs) are protected areas of high conservation importance that preserve a total spectrum of representative ecosystems of the ASEAN region. The AHP Programme, with the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) serving as the Secretariat, provides support to ensure that AHPs benefit from the best management practices available, through capacity development, information sharing, technical exchange, provision of funding opportunities, and others. The programme also aims to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to the communities within AHPs through projects such as the “Biodiversity-based Products (BBP) as an Economic Source for the Improvement of Livelihoods and Biodiversity Protection.”
